How to get rid of animal odours fast

Posted on 14 June 2023
Safe4 Odour Killer

As anyone who works with animals can attest, their odours can be pretty offensive, and often hard to eliminate.

Many people resort to traditional household cleaning products such as bleach, vinegar, or a baking soda solution to try and get rid of the smell. While these products may appear to get rid of animal odours, what they are doing is simply masking the smell with fragrances or cleaning agents.

That is why Safe4 Odour Killer was developed.

What makes Safe4 Odour Killer different?

The prime causes of offensive odours in vet clinics, kennels, catteries, and zoos are animal urine and faeces. Traditional household cleaners only have a minimal effect on uric acid, meaning it biodegrades extremely slowly. This is a particular problem in the veterinary and animal care industry as new urine appears multiple times a day, and this odour problem needs to be dealt with quickly and effectively.

Safe4 Odour Killer treats and eliminates odours in a way that discourages the animal from using that same area for a repeat performance. What makes it unique is the inclusion of enzymes in the solution, which breaks down the molecules causing the offensive smell, and eliminates them. It even leaves a subtle cherry fragrance after use.

Is it completely safe for animals and people?

Like all Safe4 products, our Odour Killer is completely non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-irritant and non-staining. It doesn’t contain any Phenols, Aldehydes, or alcohol, and is completely biodegradable.

This means that the product is completely safe for all animals and the people who care for them, all the while being highly effective in eliminating offensive smells.

How do I use Odour Killer?

Odour Killer is available as a ready-to-use spray and as a concentrate. The spray comes in a pre-made solution, while the concentrate needs to be diluted at a 1-50 ratio with tap water.

All you need to do is spray Odour Killer at the source of the offensive odour. Once the Odour Killer has come into contact with the matter causing the smell, the enzymes and essential oils that make up the solution will break down the molecules causing the smell and eliminate them.

Is it expensive?

Safe4 Odour Killer is the most cost-effective enzymatic cleaning product made for animal odours available in Australia. By purchasing the product as a concentrate and diluting it yourself with 1 part Odour Killer and 50 parts tap water, you will be paying significantly less than for other leading animal odour eliminator products.

  • 900ml Odour Killer concentrate makes 45 litres @ $1.22 per diluted litre
  • 5 litre Odour Killer concentrate makes 250 litres @ 73.9cents per diluted litre
